EB Kiwanis to hold Halloween "Monster Mash" : October 28
The Kiwanis Club of East Boston will host a Halloween “Monster Mash” costume party on Wednesday, October 28th, from 7-11 p.m. at the Beachmont VFW, 150 Bennington St. in Revere. The party will feature the music of DJ Michael Anthony Gaeta.
Tickets to the Monster Mash are $20 per person, and include light refreshments, raffles, a cash bar and a Halloween Costume Contest with prizes.
The public is invited to attend, and tickets can be obtained from Kiwanis Club members, including club President-elect John Schwagerl at 617-592-6773.
Any funds raised by the club during the Halloween Monster Mash will be used for the club’s charitable activities in East Boston. So please join the club for a ghoulishly good time!
Kiiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. The East Boston Kiwanis Club meets every first and third Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Spinelli’s in Day Square, East Boston.

Jan. 24: East Boston Kiwanis Club to Host Winter Classic Half Ball Tournament this Saturday to Raise Funds for Charities
EAST BOSTON – The Kiwanis Club of East Boston will hold its second annual Winter Classic Half Ball Tournament this Saturday, January 24 from 5-8 p.m. at the Marty Pino Community Center, 86 Boardman St. in Orient Heights. Funds raised by the tournament will partially go to “The Eliminate Project” sponsored by Kiwanis International and Unicef and to the Kiwanis Club’s local Community Service activities.
Half Ball teams of four are invited to participate in the tournament for an entry fee of $100. To sign up, contact Kiwanis Club President Clark Moulasion at 617-699-7121 or by e-mail at: carmellasmarket@verizon.net. The tournament will also feature a basketball free-throw shooting contest.

Italia Unita's Christmas Toy Drive for the Italian Home for Children and Crossroads Family Shelter. Drop your toy off today!
The following message is from the group Italia Unita.
It's that time of year!
It has been a tradition for many years that Italia Unita has participated in supporting the Italian Home For Children. We have been very successful in the past and will continue to support this worthy organization.
This year we have decided to expand our efforts and also support a local organization called Crossroads located in East Boston. Their mission is to “support families as they transition from homelessness to independent living and self-sufficiency”.
Below, you will find a list of desired items along with an "Individual Child Wish List" (linked at eastboston.com) that was sent to us by the Italian Home For Children.
For Crossroads we will collect: Non perishable food item, new toys for children, Women's clothing and as a nice gesture, gifts for a women to receive for Christmas.
Please drop off your items office on December 13th from 9:30AM - 11:30AM at 35 Bennington Street, East Boston and join us for some Christmas Cheer, light refreshments and lively conversation!
